General Eligibility and Compliance<\/strong>\n<p class=\"\">By entering the Doha Marathon by Ooredoo, you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please refrain from entering. If you have any uncertainties about the content below, please contact us at info@dohamarathonooredoo.com<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.1. Event Amendments:<\/strong> The organisers reserve the right to amend any aspect of the event, including race time, date, venue, fees, or prizes at short notice. In case of unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions or communicable diseases leading to event cancellation, efforts will be made to reschedule and entries will be automatically transferred.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.2. Refunds and Changes:<\/strong> By registering, you agree to our no-refunds policy. Participants are also not permitted to change their race category or transfer their registration to another person.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.3. Minimum Age:<\/strong> Participants must be at least 10 years old for a 5k, 14 years old for a 10k, and 16 years old for a Half Marathon and Full Marathon. Children or minors entered into races involving kids by adults or guardians do so at their own risk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.4. Safety and Conduct:<\/strong> Ooredoo Qatar will not be responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur during the event. Participants may be excluded from any event if deemed to be acting inappropriately or causing safety concerns without a refund. All participants must adhere to race rules set by race directors, organisers, medical staff, police, race day stewards, and affiliated organisations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.5. Health and Responsibility:<\/strong> Entrants acknowledge and accept all risks associated with participating in the event. Participants affirm they are fit and healthy to compete and will not hold event organisers responsible for health issues arising during or after the event. Participants are responsible for their personal equipment and any loss or damage that may occur.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>1.6. Media Usage:<\/strong> Participants grant Doha Marathon by Ooredoo to use any images and video content captured during the event on their website for distribution to third parties, in promotional materials, or on social media channels.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.7. Timing Tag Requirement:<\/strong> Only runners who are awarded an official time by crossing the Finish Line wearing their registered Timing Tag will be entitled to prize money.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.8. Anti-Doping Protocol:<\/strong> No prize winnings will be paid until the complete results of doping tests have been received and Race Judges have issued their final decisions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.9. Disqualification &amp; Bans:<\/strong> Any athlete failing a doping test will be disqualified, barred from all future Doha Marathon by Ooredoo events for twenty-four (24) months, and reported to World Athletics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.10. Prize Forfeiture:<\/strong> Prize winnings not claimed within 30 days after the announcement of the doping result will be forfeited; no future claim will be entertained.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.11. Prize Disbursement:<\/strong> Legitimately claimed prize winnings will be paid only to the bank account of the named winner, licensed Athlete Manager, or Parent\/Guardian for those 18 or under; in case of group competition, the total prize money will be paid only to one bank account and not split.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.12. Currency &amp; Bank Fees:<\/strong> All prize money is listed and paid in Qatari Riyals (QAR). International bank transfer fees and any conversion charges are the sole responsibility of the winner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.13. Appeals Procedure:<\/strong> For all other participants, appeals over disputes regarding the result must be submitted in a written format, including electronic mail, with an appeal fee of 150 QAR within 7 days of race day. The organisers reserve the right not to entertain any appeals after the deadline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.14. Multiple Category Wins:<\/strong> Any participant who wins in two or more categories will receive only the highest applicable prize money. Their official ranking in all categories will be maintained for record-keeping purposes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.15. Qatari Participants:<\/strong> Qatari participants who win in the Open, Qatari, and Arab categories will receive only the highest prize amount among the three categories.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>1.16. Bib Number Swapping:<\/strong> Participants in all race categories will be disqualified in the event of switching or swapping bib numbers.<\/p>\n\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>2. Family Run<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Registration Options:<\/strong> Teams must register in one of two configurations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n\t<li><strong>Option A:<\/strong> 1 child + 1 adult<\/li>\n\t<li><strong>Option B:<\/strong> 2 children + 1 adult<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>2.1.<\/strong> Each child (under 10) must team up with one adult family member aged 16 or older.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>2.2.<\/strong> Teams must register as a single unit via the official portal under one of the two configurations listed above (1 child + 1 adult, or 2 children + 1 adult).<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>2.3.<\/strong> The child and their companion must register as a single unit via the official portal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>2.4.<\/strong> One primary guardian must be designated as the main point of contact for all communications.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>2.5.<\/strong> To qualify for any potential recognition, the child and the family member must cross the finish line together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>2.6.<\/strong> Both children and the participating parent will receive finisher medals upon completion of the race.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>2.7.<\/strong> The use of strollers is strictly prohibited on the course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>2.8.<\/strong> Parents must not leave their children unattended at any point, nor are they permitted to carry children while running.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>2.9.<\/strong> Official event T-shirts will be provided exclusively for children; T-shirts will not be provided for participating parents or guardians.<\/p>\n\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3. Relay Race (42.195 km)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Concept:<\/strong> A team-based marathon challenge for corporations, clubs, and friends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3.1. Categories:<\/strong> Male, Female, and Mixed. Any mixed formation is acceptable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3.2. Team Structure:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n\t<li><strong>Maximum:<\/strong> 4 members (Each running one leg).<\/li>\n\t<li><strong>Minimum:<\/strong> 3 members (One member may run two legs).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3.3. Leg Distances:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Team of 4:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n\t<li>Runner 1: 10 km<\/li>\n\t<li>Runner 2: 10 km<\/li>\n\t<li>Runner 3: 10 km<\/li>\n\t<li>Runner 4: 12.195 km (The &#8220;Glory Leg&#8221; finishing the full marathon distance).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Team of 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n\t<li>Runner 1: 10 km<\/li>\n\t<li>Runner 2: 10 km<\/li>\n\t<li>Runner 3: 22.195 km (The &#8220;Glory Leg&#8221; finishing the full marathon distance).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3.4.<\/strong> Teams must exchange the electronic timing baton within the official &#8220;Transition Zones.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3.5.<\/strong> Failure to exchange the baton within the designated zone will result in a \u201cNo Time\u201d status and disqualification from prize money.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3.6.<\/strong> If a team member fails to complete their designated stage, the remaining members are permitted to continue; however, the team will be officially disqualified from prize money eligibility.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3.7.<\/strong> All participants who finish their respective legs will still be entitled to receive finisher medals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3.8.<\/strong> Attendance at the Relay Race technical meeting is mandatory for all participating teams to ensure operational compliance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3.9.<\/strong> Each team must clearly identify and register the specific running order of its members prior to the race.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3.10.<\/strong> It is not necessary for all team members to attend the kit collection; one designated member is authorised to collect all race kits for the entire team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>3.11.<\/strong> In-race logistics and transportation are organised by the Race Committee. The committee is responsible for the scheduled drop-off and pick-up of all team members at their respective transition zones.<\/p>\n\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>4. Al-Adaam Category<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>4.1.<\/strong> Participants must hold a valid Qatari Passport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>4.2.<\/strong> Al-Adaam Category runners remain eligible for the &#8220;Open Category&#8221; (Overall) and \u201cArab Category\u201d (42 km) prizes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>4.3.<\/strong> If a Qatari runner wins in two or more categories, they will receive the higher of the allocated prize amounts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>4.4.<\/strong> If a Qatari runner wins in the Al-Adaam, Arab, and Open categories, their finishing position in each category will remain unchanged for record-keeping.<\/p>\n\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\"><strong>5.
